The Gravenstein Apple Fair is a true treasure—and you are invited to savor the sweetness! And after a Covid-hiatus, the fair is back and better than ever!
For nearly 50 years, Sonoma County Farm Trails has put together the “sweetest” country fair and music festival celebrating everyone’s favorite apple—the Gravenstein!
Gravensteins were likely brought to the area by Spaniards in the early 1800’s. Today, They are popular among consumers who seek fresh, local varieties of produce. Because Gravs don’t ship well due to their soft skin, the best place to get Gravensteins is right here in Sonoma County!
Famed horticulturist Luther Burbank praised the boldly-striped apple as the “most exceptional apple of all for flavor and versatility.”
And I think you’ll agree. It’s perfect for pies. It retains its shape beautifully and the sweet-tart balance is ideal when nestled in a flaky crust. It’s ideal for juice, cider, fritters, streudels, caramel apples, applesauce and more. The best news? You don’t have to take our word for it. Many items will all be available to sample at the fair!
But tasty treats are just the beginning. The Fair features an impressive lineup of live musicians performing on two stages, chefs, farmers, artisan producers, artists and a fun kid’s area. Browse the booths, enjoy music and sample the best of Sonoma County at beautiful Ragle Ranch in Sebastopol!
There’s so much to learn about the Fair! Click here for all the details and plan your day! If you just want to buy apples, there is no entrance fee. Check in at the front gate.
